Steve Jobs Eye Opening LSD Use Catapults Technology

Steve Jobs, a man with one of the most profound impact’s on todays technology scene. Apple has quadrupled in the last ten years amounting to almost 400 billion dollars of net sales, with over 1.3 billion iphones sold, and more than 100 million people using macs around the world. However, would any of this have been possible without the use of LSD?

“Taking LSD was a profound experience, one of the most important things in my life. LSD shows you that there’s another side to the coin, and you can’t remember it when it wears off, but you know it. It reinforced my sense of what was important—creating great things instead of making money, putting things back into the stream of history and of human consciousness as much as I could.” – Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs self reportedly used LSD anywhere from 10 to 15 times.

He and his old room mate, Daniel Kottke, who had originally bonded of shared spiritual interests like Ram Dass’ Be Here Now, would take LSD out at the forest an the beach and enter meditative trances. Not much communicating would happen between the two during the trip, instead they would turn their attention inwards on “psychic energy centers” and raising “kundalini energy” up their spines.

LSD has a huge impact on Steve Jobs life, and who knows if apple would exist today if not for this powerhouse combination between the two. It certainly shaped the future of his vision, and enabled him to live outside the box of a regular perspective, even if only for 12 hours at a time. Through these experiences he was able to cast his net, and capture something that connects the whole world in an instant.
